Lustre Paper

Kodak Endura Lustre photo paper is a very high-quality photo paper used for fine art prints. It is designed for excellent colour reproduction and has a high archival rating meaning that under normal circumstances and use, it should last for many decades to come.

Strohtography doesn’t offer framed prints due to the difficulties of shipping glass, and perhaps more importantly vast selection of framing materials available. The choice of a frame type, colour, and materials is subject to each customer’s personal taste and as such, can vary considerably. Importantly, the choice of frame can enhance or detract from the final framed works, which is recognised as an important consideration in art galleries and photographic exhibitions. Strohtography highly recommends taking any prints to a picture framer to select a frame to match the image, and your tastes.

Before photographic prints are framed, care must be taken not to crease, damage, or mark them with fingerprints. Strohtography recommends that upon delivery, customers should carefully unpack their orders to verify their condition and should then repack their prints before taking them to reputable framing craftsmen in their packaged condition. This protects the prints during transit and allows the framing craftsmen to unpack and handle the prints with the necessary care.

 

 

Metallic Paper

Kodak Endura Premier Metallic paper is a top-rated, metallic photo paper ideal for reproducing bright, vibrant, colours and images, with exceptional contrast and an eye-catching, glossy metallic finish.

For the same reasons as the Lustre Prints, Strohtography doesn’t offer framed prints. Strohtography recommends that upon delivery, customers should carefully unpack their prints to verify their condition and should then repack their prints before taking them to reputable framing craftsmen in their packaged condition. This protects the prints during transit and allows the framing craftsmen to unpack and handle the prints with the necessary care.

 

 

Lustre & Metallic Block Mounts

If you would prefer a ready-to-hang option, please consider the block-mounted images as a simple and stylish alternative to framing. Most image sizes are available, with the exception of some of the largest prints, and all block mounts come ready to hang. The photographs are flush-mounted on lightweight, durable, 12mm thick MDF block, with the exception of the largest mounted prints (152 x 102cm and 96 x 96cm) which are mounted on a 20mm thick rigid foam, as it is a lot lighter with these large print sizes. Mounted Lustre and Metallic prints are coated is a textured laminate to protect the print and make the image easier to clean without damaging the surface. The laminate also gives metallic prints a striking and unique pearl-look.

Acrylic Prints

Acrylic Prints are deluxe finish, that will really make your image stand out. The prints are made with Kodak’s Professional Metallic photo paper, which is mounted to a sheet of specialty acrylic, and an aluminium composite backing with a floating hanger. This allows the finished piece to sit about 20mm off the wall.

The metallic paper offers breathtaking bright colours, and deep blacks. The acrylic finish gives the images an almost 3D backlit appearance, which is truly a breathtaking finish!
