Hong Kong Time-lapse Blended

The Hong Kong cityscape is one of the most incredible skylines in the world, and taking in the sheer number of unique, magnificent buildings rising from the island is an immersive experience. It takes time to absorb the sight of all the enormous buildings crowded together on such a small strip of land, between the harbour and the base of the mountains. To enhance the superb view, height restrictions on the city's buildings have ensured that Victoria Peak and the stunning mountains behind the city remain in view and complement the man-made beauty beneath. It’s what makes Hong Kong so special, the monumental urban jungle spread amongst stunning hilly islands.

This unique panorama was created from a series of images taken at Tsim Sha Tsui, looking south to Hong Kong Island. The skyline was photographed from the early afternoon, through the evening into the night, and the resulting photos have been blended carefully together to show how the light changed as the Sun set and the city lights came to life.
