Perth Planet - Black and White

For some time, I have wanted to try and combine the artistry of black and white photography with the Panoramic Planet style of imaging however, it was a project that demanded just the right visual elements. After considering many different types of foregrounds I finally found this location in Perth which has just the right look for this final piece.

I love the way all the elements of this image work together so well; the bold white support pillars which contrast perfectly with the darker spiral created by the footpath, the tall dark building that balances the largest of the white columns perfectly, and the overcast clouds that both softened the light, and gave the sky a wonderful ethereal feel.
