Brisbane Planet

This image was taken in Captain Burke Park, a green outdoor space in Kangaroo Point with stunning views of Brisbane City and the impressive Story Bridge. Opened in 1940, the heritage-listed bridge spans the river between Fortitude Valley and Kangaroo Point. It has become one of Brisbane’s most recognisable landmarks and is featured prominently in the annual Riverfire festival as well as being illuminated in varying colours at night.

I chose this location to exhibit the various charming aspects of Brisbane, the striking city skyline above the river, the gorgeous open parks and spaces, and of course the historic bridge.
