Infinity

A style of imaging I really enjoy, is creating Panoramic Planets; taking a traditional panorama and projecting it differently so the foreground is a small ‘Planet’ at the centre. It’s a style that only suits certain locations, but when shot with the right foreground it can produce spectacular results.

Naturally I wanted to see what the Star Trails Panorama would look like as a Panoramic Planet image, and I was extremely pleased with the results. The paths of the stars through the night sky are beautifully highlighted in this surreal image.

Much like the Panorama created the same night, I felt this image was deserving of a unique name as well.  Infinity, a reflection of the beautiful vast universe that night, and the shape itself, painted by the stars.
