Macau Tower Planet

Macau is a small, densely populated city, with many modern and unique buildings, including the monumental Macau Tower. At 338m tall the tower dominates the skyline. On the ferry crossing from Hong Kong to Macau it stands tall on the horizon and is one of the first sights as you approach the city. Even in a Panoramic Planet this building stands tall over everything else around. It is an absolutely grand structure, enormous yet delicate, which also boasts the world’s highest commercial bungy jump from its 233m high viewing deck.

The Tower itself is located on the northern side of the Praia Grande Bay. This image was taken close to the water’s edge to capture the lights of the Macau-Taipa bridge reflecting on the water, next to the base of tower, lights from Buildings on Taipa island to the top of the planet, and the majestic Sai Van bridge to the right. Some low cloud moving quickly overhead caught the city's lights and gave the image a very energetic feel.
