Singapore Helix Planet

Singapore’s Marina Bay is a vibrant, modern waterfront, with picturesque views all-around of local attractions, such as the Marina Bay Sands, the Gardens by the Bay and the Singapore Flyer.

Crossing the Marina is an award-winning pedestrian bridge known as The Helix. Inspired by the double helix structure of DNA, the bridge is supported by spiralling stainless steel support tubes, which gently curve along their length. The bridge features viewing pods on the side to enjoy the views the Marina has to offer and has pairs of illuminated coloured letters (C & G, and A & T) which represent the four bases of DNA.

The Helix is a beautiful, unique form, the perfect location to observe and image the surrounding marina. The curved helical structure, and oval viewing pods, perfectly suited the Panoramic Planet foreground, and the Marina Bay Sands and illuminated Art Science Museum also suited this style of image projection extremely well, both also being iconic, bold structures.
