Singapore Night 1

Singapore, also known as the Garden City, is a lush, picturesque city-state, just north of the equator in Southeast Asia. With a focus on clean, healthy living, and many stunning modern buildings it is a perfect location to relax, explore and photograph.

This panorama was taken early at night from the marina promenade, looking across the reservoir towards the iconic Marina Bay Sands, the Art Science Museum, and Gardens by the Bay. The water in the marina was beautifully still and calm, reflecting the nearby city lights impressively. The magnificent buildings themselves were illuminated during the evening's light show, with the bold colours projected onto them highlighting the wonderful curves and shapes against the dark night sky.

I was very lucky to capture this piece as I have never seen the water in the marina quite so still and calm, without a single vessel or hint of breeze disturbing it, and the reflected lights and buildings really make this image complete.
