Singapore Night 2

Singapore, also known as the Garden City, is a lush, picturesque city-state, just north of the equator in Southeast Asia. With a focus on clean, healthy living, and many stunning modern buildings it is a perfect location to relax, explore and photograph.

This panorama was taken late at night from the Bay East Gardens, looking across the marina reservoir towards the iconic Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore Flyer, and Gardens by the Bay. The water in the marina was beautifully still and calm, reflecting the nearby city lights perfectly. The magnificent buildings themselves were illuminated during the evening's light show, and some low, fast-moving cloud caught the city's lights and gave the sky a wonderful, dramatic glow.

I was very lucky to capture this piece as shortly after it was taken strong winds picked up disturbing the perfectly flat water in the marina, followed by storms and heavy rains moving through, interrupting the previously tranquil evening.
