Sydney Fiery Sunset 4

Sydney’s skyline is a stunning, iconic sight, the perfect complement to the often-dramatic skies above. I’ve enjoyed capturing this view many times, under many different types of weather and lighting, and every so often the view becomes simply unbelievable.

On the evening this panorama was taken thick, low cloud hung over Sydney. As the Sun set, its rays illuminated the underside of the clouds with an incredible glow, that began as a bright bold yellow, and slowly transformed into a fiery red. It was an absolutely jaw-dropping sight to behold as the thick, low rippling turned into a magnificent blaze that bathed all of Sydney in its immense glow. This has to be one of the most truly spectacular sunsets I have ever seen.
