Galah Landing

Galahs are a member of the cockatoo family, and are found throughout Australia. They are well known for their distinctive pink and grey plumage, and bold behaviour.

Males and females appear quite similar, but differ in the colour of their irises, with males having very dark eyes and females striking pink eyes.

This bird was imaged while watching a small flock feed. After keeping an eye on me for some time, he flew down to join the others foraging for seeds, and this striking photo was captured moments before he landed.
